Tennessee Uncharted Wins Four Telly Awards
Tennessee Uncharted was recently awarded four bronze Telly Awards in the Education, Videography/Cinematography, Nature/Wildlife and Travel/Tourism categories at the 37th Annual Telly Awards.
The season one episode “Natural Resources,” featuring adventures on the Ocoee river and bear attack response training, was awarded a Telly in the Education and Videography/Cinematography categories. From the same season, the episode “Ghost River,” which details local conservation efforts on a nine-mile stretch of Wolf River, won in the Nature/Wildlife category.
“Small Town, Big Beats”, from season two, followed the crew to Bristol for the Rhythm and Roots Reunion Festival and won in the Travel/Tourism category.
“Winning several Telly Awards, especially for work on our first two seasons, is an incredible honor,” said Producer Taylor Walters. “Everyone on our crew is so passionate about telling the stories of the interesting people and places we have here in Tennessee, and we have so much fun doing it. We want to thank everyone we’ve featured on the show and all of the fans who tune in every week. We couldn’t do it without you!”
A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work – entries do not compete against each other – rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Silver Telly, our highest honor. Approximately 25% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Bronze Telly.
